HOW WE DID IT
Each of the 55 pieces on the wall was composed of separate coloured segments.
We made all of these segments as light as possible in order to reduce the overall weight of the structure once assembled. Simple shapes were made as boxes and the more complex shapes were made as hollow profiles.
The majority of pieces were CNC routed and mitred using a table saw. The Summit letters were hand sculpted from chemiwood.
All pieces were attached to base plates which located in the correct location on the backboard allowing for simple construction and deconstruction.
